Early on, YMSW began collaborating with Callison Architects on this award-winning environment for an upscale Seattle medical establishment.

Pepper Brown Granite, Ancient Golden Marble and Kinaro Tan Limestone™ were combined to create an elegant veneer running throughout the hallways. The subtle variation in stone characteristics, combined with YMSW special finishes, creates a rich patina. The Ancient Golden Marble, in particular, has an undulating, tactile surface texture.

These warm, natural qualities of the stone are a nice departure from the rigid, impersonal geometries of modern architecture. Thanks to YMSW’s early collaboration, this unusual finish application was realized despite the project’s aggressive scheduling and budget constraints.
